Notes:
Commentary
- Wheat: Up $15 ($410 to $420/tonne). Barley: Down $15 ($325 to $335/tonne). Maize: Down $10 ($390 to $400/tonne). Canola Meal: Down $10 ($580 to $590/tonne).
- Rain and cool weather continued for most of growing regions of South Australia, with harvest potentially less than a month away in many early sown areas.
- Wheat futures were up for the week but remain volatile, as a jump in offshore prices, driven by uncertainty surrounding the Black Sea export corridor, fed through into South Australian markets.
- Local barley prices were generally steady this week with some upward and downward movement seen across the state.
- Canola markets were sharply higher this week as a lack of grower selling in offshore markets supported prices.
